PVCOOL solar modules made with air cooling aluminium heat sink at rear side for transfer most of thermal heat to rear side  and minimizing the temperature of cells.
Module has multiple advantages and applications.

Tracking concentrators

  • Solar modules produce electrical and 2.7 times additional thermal power. It dramatically reduce cost PV system and energy generation. Such applications are solar tracking concentrators with reflectors or Fresnel lenses, static concentrators.

  • Photovoltaic / Thermal power Cogeneration

  • Modules can be used for normal 1 sun irradiation with advantages of 15-25 degree lower operating temperature. That increases electrical output of cells (7-12%), RTC power for rebate calculation, reduces thermal cycling stresses and ageing processes. Best application for this is BIPV. It is estimated that an average Building Integrated PV module operates at a temperature of up to 40 deg.C above ambient. This represents a loss of performance of 20% of power produced. On sunny winter days PVCOOL-SP95 solar module generates 95 Watts (peak) and 270 watts thermal heat power from the back surface Thermal energy can be used to cut energy costs and increase comfort levels in buildings at minor installation cost.

  • Static Cogeneration Concentrators

  • Due to the fact all Solar modules generate in stand alone systems 3-4 times less energy in winter months compare to summer. PVCOOL solar modules can be used in static concentrators as ruff integrated panels and generate in winter time up to 1.5 more electrical power and additional thermal energy for building heating.
